16th Annual Earth Day Clean Up for Long Beach Island
Alliance for a Living Ocean

The Alliance recently released this information about the upcoming clean up day:

SHIP BOTTOM, N.J. – In honor of Earth Day, the Alliance for a Living Ocean (ALO), announces it’s 16th Annual Clean Up Event. Please join us this year on Saturday, April 18th from 10:00AM to 1:00PM to do your part in keeping our island clean and green now and for generations to come.

Alliance for a Living Ocean is a member supported grassroots non-profi t organization now based in Ship Bottom, NJ. Our mission is to promote and maintain clean water and a healthy coastal environment through education, research and active participation. We recognize the need to manage our watershed,
bay and ocean holistically since all water fl ows from the raindrop to the ocean.

Volunteers are asked to meet at one of these five sites at 10:00 A.M. to pick up supplies

    Bonnet Island @ Route 72
    East Ship Bottom Boat Ramp
    Beach Haven Lifeguard Station @ Center Street
    Surf City @16th and Barnegat Avenue
    Barnegat Light@ the end of Broadway

Rugged attire is strongly suggested.
A number of “early bird” volunteers will receive a limited edition t-shirt designed by Jetty Life, courtesy of Inkgredient and ALO. The Clean Up will take place rain or shine. For more information, call Alliance for a Living Ocean at 609-494-7800
